History reigns, surprises await and of course, glory reigns. After two races, it has been brought to news that Ferrari and Mclaren are the winning cards of the second half, as they have been both dominating quite well and Red Bull is the biggest shock. After the loss of Newey, it has appeared that they have been struggling to set a stone on their pace. After a chaotic quail with Norris not delivering as before, a Gasly disqualification and the loss of Magnussen in entirety, this year would show a lot of war. The race begins and goes like a flying paper plane, both in the length and weight. The name of that plane was Leclerc, flying and staying in pole for a good chunk, till Piastri would become the new leader and surpass him. Mid tiers would be in fine shape, with Albon even managing to have a moment of reaching top 10 in the leaderboards for a good chunk of the race, till then landing back down. But the shining star is Perez. Perez is the only one to have won the Grand Prix multiple times and is nicknamed, "king of the streets". Perez was a strong part of the Grand Prix, managing to take a place in the fight for first place, landing close to the top 2 but unfortunately, those losses that ruined his reputation are not done and this blow would be the fuck up of his season. Being so close was the light and nothing seemed to stop him, that is until Sainz managed to regain a lead in a good place and got close to Perez, it was the second to last lap, all was looking good... until that one fateful moment. The two Ferrari's had managed to get a good on camera scene of nice passing, turns and action, it was actually so good that no one could understand it, but in a track like Azerbaijian, there is always a shock. Sainz and Perez would hit each other in the rear and both would crash and officially end their race in an unlucky moment. Only one more lap and Perez would reach podium position but unfortunately, god still isn't done on torture and lost his chance to show redemption after failing so many times. A hard blow, a blow that will stay with him for long. In the end, it was Piastri getting his second win, Leclerc being second and Russell third. A race that no one will forget and while straightforward, shows amazing promise for the rest. Halfway there till the end, next landing point... Singapore. Written by Balsamo Giulio See less
