She informs them that with the news of a...See moreAt a high end restaurant, Daniel constantly is trying to prove his worth in the kitchen and manage his antagonistic equal, Adrian. During a dinner rush, head chef Maya calls the two into her office. She informs them that with the news of a second location opening, her current position of head chef will be given to one of them based on the results of a cook-off judged by the restaurant's owner. Another aggressive run-in with Adrian inspires Daniel to stay the night, practicing and preparing for confidence in the most important dish of his career. The next day, Maya gives the chefs one hour to prepare a filet mignon with a sauce and vegetable of their choosing. They pour their hearts into their plates and as time runs thin, Adrian sabotages Daniel leading to a serious burn and a near incompletion; he is certain of his defeat. Maya returns to the kitchen with the results, announcing the new head chef. See less
