However, with short of arms on the Shandong battlefield and the situation was critical. Sansao Liu, an underground party member, and Hongshan Ye, secretary and mayor of the Longwang Island District, received instructions from their superiors, Dehai Yu, who is the Deputy Minister of the Armed Forces Department of the Jiaodong Military Region, to implement "Operation Sea Anemone" in the name of running a army supply and marketing cooperative, secretly organizing boatmen to assist in arms transportation in order to defeat the remnant force of the Japanese army. Meanwhile, it happened that Longzhang Chi, who is the head of a pirate group, was planning on counterattack Longwang Island. He sent the desperate pirate Zhongzu Li to take back to the island, organized an assassination platoon to create panic, and attempted to seize the island in chaos. With the assistance of Sijiang Wang, president of the rescue association and party branch secretary of Long Wan Tou Village, both Liu and Ye smashed a series of conspiracies by the assassination platoon and uncovered the deeply lurking spy Zhishan Liu. The war situation in Shandong suddenly changed, and the army temporarily shifted its strategy. Longwang Island was once occupied by Longzhang Chi, but Sansao Liu and the remaining soldiers and civilians were unyielding and persisted in fighting behind enemy lines, while Hongshan Ye continued guerrilla warfare around Long Wang Island. With their unremitting efforts, the army finally successfully completed "Operation Sea Anemone", completely liberated Long Wang Island, defeated the reactionaries, and reversed the situation of the war.
