We've been invited into the private home of a famous historian and art collector to dig into this layered past. We'll meet globally recognized designers whose creations are inspired by Byzantine and Ottoman styles. Turkish flavor profiles date back to the ancient spice trade route. In Instanbul we'll take a spice taste and baklava rolling test. On Turkiye's Western Coast we'll take a cooking class in a remote village stuck in time. With food comes wine which Romans were known to enjoy - we'll taste our way through these storied vines. We'll hot air balloon over Cappadocia to meet cave dwellers for lunch in their home cave and learn to make pottery at its origin.
