Influenced by the philosophy of John Cage, Song of the Cicadas uses chance operations and the concept of silence, to build a poetic narrative that questions the prison system and medias role in surveillance. Filmed in an historic prison during a Cicada emergence in Virginia, Song of the Cicadas finds poetry to resolve the crisis of terrorism. Written by
