Shusui decides ...See moreA marriage proposal from the Kishu family comes up for Kikuji (Komura Hiro), but her brother, Sawatari Shusui (Kitaoji Kinya), declines it. At that time, the lord of the Kishu family had died under suspicious circumstances. Shusui decides to set out on a journey to clear up the family turmoil in the Kishu domain. The person who was proposed as a marriage partner for Kikuji is Shin'nosuke, a young samurai who had helped Shusui when he was being attacked by someone a few days ago, but left without even thanking him. Shin'nosuke, who is the heir to the Kishu domain, seems to have headed for Kishu afterwards, but Iwakura Guntayu (Mikimoto Shinsuke), the Edo elder of the Kishu domain who is planning to make the child born to his concubine the lord of the domain, is after his life.
