With viable life almost obliterated, technology overtook the management of daily existence around the globe. Today, Sentients maintain order by selecting humans from below-ground shelters as 'companions.' It is in one of these shelters where we meet Logan, an eclectic and feral man who has been kidnapped, and whose life hangs in the balance unless he's chosen by a Sentient. Logan's world is soon upended when Emily, a mysterious woman with a painful secret, is thrown into the cage right next to his, forcing both of these lost souls to vie for the affection of the two artificial intelligent forms holding them captive. Logan's and Emily's objective? To prove their willingness to sacrifice everything in order to survive. See less
