How when life becomes too painful, we turn to our dreams of love to save us from the disappointment of reality. The main character Marie was abandoned by the man she adored, and lost more than her imagined future, but also her mind. After she returns home from the hospital she was committed to, she has to reconstruct her life amidst the sea of her failed engagement. She reveals to her friends and family that she is pregnant, and despite the concern of those who love her, Marie has found meaning in life.
