Drowning his sorrows in whiskey and strip clubs on Sunset Blvd, Dill quits his boring job in New York, maxes out all his credit cards, and lives recklessly. He steals from local markets and heckles at a lowlife comedy bar, unexpectedly becoming a sensation. Embracing his new role, Dill heckles famous comedians, causing chaos and hilarity. However, soon his ego is checked by Mailis, a love interest who humiliates him publicly during a stand up performance. This forces Dill to reflect on his life, leading to a near-death experience and a rescue by Hipp, a local party promoter. Hipp introduces Dill to a wild new lifestyle, but Dill can't forget Mailis. Seeking redemption, he follows her to New York, supports her stand up show, and even lets her roast him to boost her confidence and impress a top Hollywood talent agency, who offers to represent her.
