One day one of the boys saves the other from drowning. All three are linked by a deep friendship, which is reinforced by necklaces with the same metallic symbol. But the girl chooses only one of the boys as her lover and the other is left out. In the near future a bloody war is raging, started by a totalitarian ruler who apparently shows no mercy to his enemies and for whom only war is the solution to everything. In the midst of all the horrors of war, one of the boys, now an adult, is fighting as a soldier against the dictator's troops. He has married his childhood sweetheart and they both have a small daughter. But he has little time left to prevent them from being taken away from him by all the violence. Elsewhere, people of all faiths join together for a march through the desert to save the earth from death and support the arrival of a new Messiah. Through the cyclical nature of life, all of this is connected. See less
