In 2014, as they were about to graduate from junior high, Yuki hid from Sally the fact that she was going to Amsterdam for high school. Out of guilt, Yuki gave Sally a film camera and promised to help her shoot a photo album as a graduation gift. Their photo shoot plan was going smoothly until one day, Sally discovered the long-standing family connection between her secret crush, Fan Shu, and Yuri, and that Fan Shu was also going to Amsterdam for high school. Ignoring Yuki's explanations, Sally stubbornly believed that there was something more between Yuri and Fan Shu. She blamed Yuri for not telling her about her plans to study abroad and, in a fit of anger, broke off their friendship, leading to a complete loss of contact and the abandonment of the photo project. Nine years later, Sally had become a successful novelist. While moving for an overseas job, she found an invitation to Yuki's funeral sent by Yuki's mother, Qin, nine years earlier. See less
