Their ancestral home is their only shield against a bleak future. One evening, Sandeep unexpectedly meets Kanhaiyan, his childhood friend turned slick Mumbai real estate dealer. Over drinks and old memories, Kanhaiyan tempts him with promises of a low-cost home, a job, and a fresh start in the city. The offer dazzles Sandeep, but selling the ancestral house is the only way to fund this dream. His uncle warns him not to trust Kanhaiyan, calling him a fraud. Still, Kanhaiyan fuels Sandeep's doubts, convincing him that his uncle wants him trapped in poverty. With Sweety's quiet support, Sandeep sells the land and hands over all the money to Kanhaiyan. A week later, they arrive in Mumbai, mesmerized by its lights and chaos-only to find Kanhaiyan gone. His phone is off, the address fake, the promises empty. Penniless, robbed, and homeless, they drift from a train station to a bus shelter.
