Ustinov caricatures typical Russian, American, German and English composers with pen and piano, singing along with the wild musical themes he invents for each composer. Keefe appears to interview the composers, and Ustinov uses facial expressions alone (no make-up or props) to make himself resemble the cartoons he has drawn. In another sketch, Ustinov and Moore portray cockney composers who use a sensational D. H. Lawrence novel as the basis of their opera-"Madame Chatterfly."
