No field offers a greater challenge and opportunity to those who enter it than the Christian ministry. The authors of Variety in Your Preaching have taken an important forward step with the publication of this volume. They have combined these necessary materials in teachable form for the seminary; they have provided a source of practical help for the minister in the pulpit. The chapters which follow are organized and written to train men and women to preach more articulately, more impressively, and more convincingly, the messages so vital to Christian Leadership in our Time.

(Lloyd M. Perry's Biblical Preaching for Today's World has...)
Lloyd M. Perry's Biblical Preaching for Today's World has been helping pastors and speakers preach the Word since 1973. Although the principles Perry originally established are timeless, the needs and concerns of audiences are always changing. To help pastors preach more effectively to today's congregations, Perry has updated his original manuscript. He offers pastors help in understanding and adjusting to the effects television has had on an audience's listening skills.
