En noviembre del 2023, Anne-F Jacques y Verónica Cerrotta se encontraron en Valparaíso, Chile, para participar de una residencia artística en el marco del Festival Tsonami, que culminó con una serie de acciones, que incluyeron una transmisión radial urbana, una exposición, una entrevista informal en la radio y un concierto de cada una de las dos artistas. Con excepción de los conciertos individuales, las demás actividades fueron realizadas por a.hop, banda, colectivo, grupo, formado por 9 personas de diferentes partes del mundo. Anne y Verónica fueron las únicas dos, que en esta ocasión, se encontraron en persona.
Desde Valparaíso, se inició una serie de correspondencia entre las integrantes de a.hop, para construir un lugar imaginado colectivamente. A partir de caminatas realizadas en la ciudad se recolectaron fragmentos de sonidos, imágenes y descripciones incompletas de la misma que fueron enviadas a las demás. Las integrantes que se encontraban a la distancia generaron sonidos de Valparaíso a través de respuestas especulativas al material recibido y escribieron partituras para realizar en ese lugar imposible.
Esas partituras fueron interpretadas en Valparaíso.
Este disco, reúne en forma de collage, un poco de todo el material generado durante ese intercambio. Incluye también, fragmentos de grabaciones de campo realizadas por cada una de las integrantes de a.hop en sus ciudades de residencia. Estas grabaciones, en un inicio, iban a forma parte de un programa radial intitulado “9 mañanas”, que hasta el momento no ha sido transmitido.

In November 2023, Verónica Cerrotta and Anne-F Jacques met in Valparaíso, Chile, to participate in an artistic residency within the framework of the Tsonami Festival, which culminated in a series of actions, including an urban radio broadcast, an exhibition, an informal radio interview and a concert by each of the two artists. With the exception of the individual concerts, the other activities were carried out by a.hop, a band, collective, group, made up of 9 people from different parts of the world. Anne and Verónica were the only two, on this occasion, who met in person.
From Valparaíso, a series of correspondence began between the members of a.hop, to build a collectively imagined place. From walks in the city, fragments of sounds, images and incomplete descriptions of the city were collected and sent to the others. The members who were at a distance generated sounds of Valparaíso through speculative responses to the material received and wrote scores to perform in that impossible place.
These scores were performed in Valparaíso.
This album brings together, in collage form, a bit of all the material generated during this exchange. It also includes fragments of field recordings made by each of the members of a.hop in their cities of residence. These recordings were initially to form part of a radio program called “9 mañanas” (9 mornings), which has not yet been broadcast.
