lounge room

I often think of the lounge room that was in a home where I lived overseas. Linen lounges, a writing desk and large windows that filled the room with light. A reading chair by the fireplace, a small table and a reading lamp. A gilded mirror above the mantle, Persian rugs, a wall of books and music. After dinner we talked and laughed here. Alone I would read and write here. There was no TV. On this board, I am finding my style. I don't want the room to be too French, or too Hamptons.
