Ecuador
After decades of economic and political crisis, which profoundly affected Ecuador's poverty level, especially the indigenous population, the country in recent years has made important structural reforms that have enabled it to improve the growth rates and income levels of its population. However, there are still major challenges to sustaining these achievements and eradicating the persistent social and economic inequality that mostly affects the indigenous populations living in rural areas.

Healthy Kids
If you’re healthy and you know it, clap your hands! 👏 Eddy is attending his monthly health checkup through ChildFund Ecuador, where he just learned that he’s reached an appropriate weight and height for his age. Rates of malnutrition are high in his community, so that’s big news for his parents – and for him! Want to help kids like Eddy look forward to a healthy year? Become a monthly giver to our Annual Fund.
International Day for Universal Access to Information
“Today I feel so happy!” says Franklin, 7, Ecuador. “My Granny is happy too. I got a tablet so I can keep doing my classes online. I used to have to ask my neighbors to use their computers so I could finish my homework. Now I can do my homework at home.” Access to the internet is far from a luxury: It’s a necessity for the millions of kids who depend on it for their education during the pandemic. We work to improve that access so kids can keep learning and families can thrive, no matter what.
