Jennifer Beck on Instagram: "🚨Why I stopped painting everything ⤵️ • Trends change. At one time, as long as you had a gallon of white paint and a brush, you could make some money quick! We painted everything - furniture, hinges, hardware, lamps...you name it, we painted it. But as we age, our taste changes. I find myself looking for the classic styles that stand the test of time. Gone are the days of heavy distressing, chipped paint (unless authentic) and chalk paint. At least for me, that's the case. 2. I educated myself. I never knew there was paint grade and stain grade wood in my early years. Now, after countless hours of compilation, I'm able to look at a piece and determine what would look best with the type of wood or veneer on each piece. Also, I educated myself of true antiques.
Jennifer Beck on Instagram: "Where did it sell?⤵️ This piece sold in less than two hours to a new client. She found the listing on our website and was able to make a quick decision because we had all the questions she would ask already answered in the description. What's one thing we did to make sure this sold? We offered shipping. It's going to Texas. Without us having that option for her, we would have lost the sale most likely. Wondering how to ship? We use private transporters found on @uship . Check the pinned posts on our profile and story highlights for all info on shipping! Chris | Mid Century Modern Restorations and Flips on Instagram: "I haven’t felt this nervous about sharing a reel in quite some time. I’ve been eager to explore some new ideas, and I’m excited to finally present this project. While a speckled orange finish might have been all the rage in the 1970s, it feels quite outdated by today’s standards. This piece had so much potential with its original design elements, but it needed a few updates to align with contemporary tastes. I refreshed it with a light natural oak finish and elevated it on a custom made sled style base, giving it a fresh, modern look. What do you think of this transformation? Do you lean towards a cooler/lighter finish, or do you prefer something warmer? Comment “product list” for links to all the products used in this m
