Kids came in at all different times, they ate breakfast in the classroom (which was a MESS), and I had learners on a wide variety of levels, plus behavior problems galore. I think i forgot to take attendance for about a month straight! I tried everything (worksheets, morning tubs, journals, etc) and nothing worked. This was NOT the way to set the tone for the day.
