Vintage exit light

Ceiling mounted vintage glass exit shade in excellent condition. Shown on the original brass flush mount fitter it was found on. Exact age hard to pinpoint as these were made through several decades and most were not signed. This one is also a bit smaller than others we have had at only 5 3/4 inches high and shade width at 4 1/2 inches. Backplate is 5 3/4 inches round. We do have a second matching shade which has a crack in one corner although it is very stable.

Great looking vintage triangle exit sign light fixture from the 20s - 30s on an original antique copper fitter. This globe has beveled corners in more of an art deco style. I was unable to get the digital camera to accurately capture the beautiful deep ruby red color of the shade. Lettering still in great condition, some fading but no loss from the letters themselves. Small nick in the glass at the bottom right in front, no cracks. The last one we sold was used as a clever porch light…

The color red of this shade is very difficult to capture so it displays in the image "true to the eye". The red color is a deeper, richer ruby red. The black letters are all in excellent condition with no noticeable paint loss. Quite a nice design to the glass with exit on three sides, with narrow panels between the larger panels and all panels forming an inverted pyramid at the bottom. The drop as shown is 8 1/4 inches with the width of the glass 6 inches. The backplate has a width of 4 3/4…

Pre 1920 glass exit globe with raised white letters also in glass. Dark ruby red color when light is off but shows much lighter red when lit. Nice subtle touch for a home theater. Shown on a new fitter.
