slow cooker chicken and noodles
this is the recipe that was floating around on Facebook for a while. i would love to give credit where credit is due but i don't know who the original poster was. this is what i did when i last made this recipe - 2.5 lbs fresh boneless, skinless chicken breasts with the other ingredients the same; cooked on high for about 4 hours; shred meat and stir back in (a potato masher works wonders in the crock without dirtying another dish); add frozen noodles, stir and cook about 30 minutes on high. now, I'm not a huge fan of the Reames noodles - they are just too heavy for me. i like the egg noodles. so i made a second batch the same as above but used a 16 oz bag of wide egg noodles. stirred them in and cooked about 20 minutes. they soaked up a lot more broth than the Reames noodles.

Chicken and Dumplings with Frozen Noodles
Using frozen egg noodles to make homestyle chicken and dumplings is one of the best shortcuts EVER! This dish is so delicious, with tender chicken, veggies, and a creamy broth paired with the most perfect thick noodles. I used Reames, but you could use any frozen egg noodles. Such a great comfort food!
