Finnish folklore with EGL stamps
Riikka is influenced by Finnish folklore to create old stones from clay to represent Antero, a mythological giant turned to stone. His story is one from the Finnish Epic Kalevala, a series of rhythmic poems recounting tales from folklore. As Riikka shares the making of this project, she manages to combine mythology and a sense of Finland's natural landscape, capturing the essence of both in 4 matchbox style shrines.
