(Who we sold when we moved cross country) The girls we had could thrive on minimal grain and alfalfa. While we still own one of these cows we wanted a cow that gave over 4 gallons a day. ➡️ Why? Our family has grown substantially over the years and we need a lot more milk. (Hello 6️⃣ kids) ➡️ We wanted a brown Swiss over a higher production jersey because of their demeanor, they are gentle giants. ➡️ And last but not least we want to breed registered brown Swiss cows. For our area they are harder to find compared to registered jerseys and we are always looking for ways to have income on the farm. Have a brown Swiss? More questions?
