You should never just buy the amount of tile you need. You also need to calculate for cuts, waste and breaks. Multiply the square footage of the room by 10%. Then add this amount to the total square of the room. This is the total amount of square footage you should buy in tile. Step 5 Translate the square footage in to the amount of tile you need.
