Good day!!!
How is everybody on this wet afternoon?!
Well it's been a wet grey day here..
but it's so great to just stay indoors and enjoy being home.
Rainy days can be turned into something good!
I just put the kettle on for some afternoon tea and just took two
hot banana bread loaves from my oven.
Join me for some and a little visit?
;)
I travelled to see our sons last weekend..
and although my voyage there was great and the driving weather favourable...
it was a wet for 3 days.
Last spring it was warmer, but then again, it was into the middle of May.
Southern Ontario was not having the best weather.
;)
A n y w a y s......
his new place is absolutely gorgeous!
My son is very neat and tidy
and is a minimalist.
There is certainly something to be said about that..
I have too much clutter.
I'm learning from him
:)
He has a great sense of style
minus clutter.
Sounds nice, doesnt it? Lol
Am I proud of him?
Oh yes...I could go on and on...
;)
My son had to work on Thursday and Friday (he works from home)
so I did go out and do some exploring and some shopping.
;)
Look what I found!
I may or may not have been anticipating this!!
The first one open in Canada so far!
;);););)
All I could think of was...
Shabby chic, shabby chic, shabby chic!
Lol
Ok... I did find a gorgeous set of King size white sheets
with those beautiful words on the pkg...
S h a b b y C h i c
~
They are very beautiful with eyelet on the top sheet and pillow cases.
And they fit very comfortably...love them!
Next time...I'll get the pink sheets or maybe the white with little purple flowers on them.
Never has a red and white bag looked so good in my car!
I left to get some eggs before lunch on Friday
and ended up at a favourite store downtown which in turn
led me to a little knitting shop
on the outskirts of town..lol
I wish I had brought my camera there!
(I could have used the new iphone my hubby got me but I wasn't thinking)
On the way coming into the little community..
it turned into a winter wonderland!
Just gorgeous..roads were good, but the trees were amazing!
Branches decked with ice...it was quite breath-taking!
but then again, so was the little yarn shop..heehee
Great deals to be had there!
I've mentioned it before, but I will again,
I started knitting in November and I fell in love!
Yep...this girl is hooked...hahahahha (no pun intended)
L O V E K N I T T I N G!!!
I make my way downtown every week,
and I knit with some sweet gals at my local knitting shop.
I so look forward to that 2 hours in my life!
And...this son of mine, Adam....
when he found out I was starting to knit and loved it so much...
he said he wanted to pay for my classes and knitting sessions there!
He is just so kind and thoughful!
He always makes me feel so at home when I visit.
He made us some yummy chicken fajitas here.
He's a good cook too!
Saturday morning we went out to Cora's for breakfast.
Love Cora's!
Breakfast with tons of fresh fruit on our plates!
It was dee-lish!
My son isnt crazy about being photographed,
so I'm trying to control myself here
;)
He blesses me,
over and over again.
Just by being who he is.
We spent time together late in the evenings,
watched a few shows together.
No matter what we did...
"together"
was what made it so fun and dear to me.
He surprises me!
Again and again
Thank you Adam...I love you so much!
