Whats under my foot

This week I have played a little on the embroidery machine and my digitizing software. I really miss the structure and monthly inspirations of being an Island Batik Ambassador. Using IB fabric, here is a block I digitized and made that I’m hoping to expand on. Several years ago I designed a quilt with this block and it was rejected for a catalog.

I have finally come up with a new logo. Thanks to Melva loves scraps for her suggestion of an actual goose for my logo I have come up with this…

I think I need to do some recoloring but I am so satisfied with the design. Thank you Melva.

From Gretchen’s Little Corner comes a feathered star. This block is one on my 2do list, perhaps I should start with that list for inspiration.

Alycia-Quilty Girl shared this colorful scrappy quilt.

This is 3 Ikea cubes screwed to a table top that I had. We added casters, a hook on the front and 2 on the side for hanging rulers. There is still a little organizing that needs done, I can sew now. For the top I used a piece of plywood and covered it with cotton batting and fabric.

    1. I actually used AI, entered what I was looking for initially. Then improved on what it presented. I love that block. Thank you for linking up to Put your foot down.

  1. The logo is fun. I really like the way you quilted your block. I’m sorry about the IB. You did that for so many years I can see how it would be tough to lose the structure.
