Drew Music Every time I think I've reached a point where black metal can no longer surprise or really resonate with me, something like this comes along to steer me back down the left-hand path in awe...

... And half the time those gems turn out to be yet another phenomenal creation featuring the omnitalented Déhà 🥂 Favorite track: Änkan.

Nicholas Barang It's DSBM but not as we know it Jim, because it has a positive message and somehow, it works.

This is an insanely powerful record and one of the best that I've had the good fortune to listen to this year.

I really hope that there will be more of this in the future... though I will perfectly understand if this side project is a one and done, too. Favorite track: Likvaka.

Rå is a project between isa Myling and Déhà started in 2024.
Initially meant to process past trauma, the projects subject matter changed to that of immediate process of loss as Isa during 2025 lost her husband Asgeir Amort (Herzog) to a violent cancer.

This project is about grief, desperation and hopelessness but above all - it’s about finding strength and empowerment beyond the pain.
It blends atmospheric black metal with a touch of dark Scandinavian folk.
