Here is a wonderful stamp set to be issued on 10 August 2011 by New Zealand Post on ‘Counting’ . It is an amazing set for tiny tots to teach them counting in a very interesting way. So take a numerical journey from 1 to 21 in a typical 'Kiwi' way with the Counting in Kiwi stamp issue. With each number, one will discover unique and special aspects of New Zealand's culture and  history .

Each of the 21 stamps in the issue has a distinctive 'Kiwi' flavour. Number 1 is represented by State Highway 1 - the road that runs the length of both the North and South Islands. As we count higher, we discover snippets of the New Zealand way of life until we reach 21 - the milestone birthday that is widely celebrated in New Zealand with a traditional 21st key.

This iconic sheet of 21 stamps is a fun representation of Kiwi culture that's not to be missed! Following on from the popular A to Z of New Zealand stamp issue, this time NZ Post uses numbers to tell entertaining stories about the unique nation.

The full set of 21 stamps is also spread across a set of three first day covers, the first of which has numbers 1 (State Highway 1) to 3 (three-hour ferry ride across Cook Strait). The second first day cover includes numbers 4 (four stars of the Southern Cross) to 10 (ten guitars - the popular song of the 1960s), and the third first day cover includes numbers 11 (first 11) to 21 (21st key).

Club News

Recently A new philatelic club, “ West Delhi Philatelic Club” was started by some prominent philatelists and stamp dealers of Delhi. The aim of the club is to promote philately and encourage youngsters to take up this educational hobby. Very Special Covers of 9 September…..

Hi ! I have received a number of covers for 999…But here are some covers which are so special to me that I want to share them today as I have just received..and am extremely happy… 9 September was not just a date for my collection but it was also my Birthday…Some of my friends knew and they sent me a very special cover..for this memorable date..The first one shown here has been sent to me by Dr Hemant V Kulkarni from Milwaukee USA…It is so special with a wonderful set of stamps and a special Birthday Stamp…How wonderful for a philatelist to receive Birthday Greetings in such a nice way……I never received such a wonderful greeting ever in my life…… Moreover inside the cover I also found a special Happy Birthday FDC with silk cachet…& a nice card with Birthday Greetings from Dr Kulkarni…..How lovely…It made me overwhelmed to receive this warm lovely cover from Dr Kulkarni….. How nice he remembered …. and sent with his warm greetings… I don't remember when I wrote him that 9 Sep is my Birthday….perhaps few months back I wrote with some reference....But he noted it and remembered me.....Another two special cover from Mr Shrikant Parikh who made my day special by sending me two exquisite special covers made by him….Well I don't have the words to express my thanks to both my very senior philatelist friends….I just can say so nice of you to remember me on this special day……Thank you very much !!! For Speed Lovers !

Hi, I am back with more information to share with you !I was out of station so I could not post on Blog. For Speed lovers, in today's Post I have some pictures of Formula 1 car depicted on philatelic items issued by Finland on 5 September 2008. Yesterday was 9 September. Number 9 is also my favourite number. I have some beautiful cancellations of 9.9.99 sent by our distinguished member Mr. Shrikant Parikh from Ahmedabad. I am collecting all the cancellations of 09.9.99. If anyone can send me cancellations in any form of these numbers I will be very thankful and I will send philatelic items of his choice in exchange. The coming year is going to be very special for numbrer 9 as on next 9 September it will be 9.9.9 just triple 999 what a magnificent number which will look so nice on a cover ! I will have to wait for this wonderful date for a year. This is all for today! .......Have a Nice Time!........
