Words inspired by the persecution of refugees but put into a space rock context.
This song started with a chuggy rhythm guitar riff and grew from there. Listening back to the finished item it's clear that there is an influence of my mate Radioactive Roy in here (RIP). He was the ultimate spaceman. I'd had the pleasure of watching him play countless times and even played bass in a band with him that was curtailed from live performances by his illness.
lyrics
Fleeing The War. Running From Insanity. We're The Last Remnants Of Free Humanity. Ravaged By Pollution And Extreme Heat. A Hell Ruled Over By A Selfish Elite.
Resources Depleted. Homes & Fields Destroyed. Hoping For A Better Life We Set Off Into The Void. Some Of Us Won't Make It Past Hostile Worlds, Pursued And Captured. Ships Crashed And Burned.
We Just Want Somewhere. Begging On Our Knees. A Place To Call Home
We Are Space Refugees.
