Select Generate Transcript. ReelToText retrieves the Reel audio on the server and sends it to an AI speech recognition model. Keep this page open while the Instagram video transcript is created.

Processing time depends on the Reel length, Instagram availability, and the transcription service. Short Reels often finish quickly, but some requests can take longer. Keep the page open until the result or an error message appears.

Accuracy varies by source. Clear speech with little background noise usually produces the best result. Music, overlapping speakers, strong noise, unusual names, and low-quality recordings can reduce accuracy, so review important text against the original Reel.
Instagram Story support is planned for a future version. For now, ReelToText accepts individual public Reel links. If the Story is yours, publishing it as a public Reel will create a supported link.
Yes. Guests receive one successful transcript per IP address per UTC day, and signed-in members receive five per account. Invalid links and failed processing attempts do not use the allowance because the reservation is released when transcription fails.
ReelToText does not save the original Instagram video. Audio is downloaded into server memory only for the active request and is not written to persistent application storage. The returned transcript stays in your browser unless you copy or download it.
Instagram Reels are our focus right now. TikTok and YouTube URLs are not accepted yet, which lets us keep improving the reliability of the Instagram transcription workflow first.
