"The deeply layered rhythms and atmospheric elements that Refracted shows across the four tracks on Along A Ghostly Trail make a perfect match for Silent Season, as the Berlin based newcomer joining some illustrious company in the shape of STL, Djorvin Clain and Edanticonf in contributing to the Canadian label's rise. Clouds of sub bass meld rhythmically with the stripped back percussive lilts of "Enlightenment" as they traverse a scenic back drop of textural atmospherics, whilst the title track is similar in tone if imbued with a spectral feeling that justifies the name. Contrasting this, both "Oo-Koo-He" and "Hyperdimension" are gloopy bassline lead arrangements that slowly swell around the senses.
