A lot going on here but after repeat listens, it all makes sense. Catchy melodies and grooves are intertwined w/ scathing vocals. Creepy artwork too! Sean TPLTR
Five years after The Dreaming I, this follow-up continues the terrifying and wondrous music of Naas Alcameth's nightmarish shadow realms, creating one of the most innovative and fascinating sounds in extreme metal. 'Ephialtes' is absolutely sensational, opening with incredible power, and building to one of the album's highlights starting at 1:31. 'Incubatio' is equally cataclysmic, with its dark ambient intro, followed by blistering blast beats, until the apocalyptic shriek at 2:51 — unreal! Obsidian One
Probably one of the only atmospheric black metal bands that top Burzum for me. The keyboards/synths really add to the already chilling experience. I confess that I have cried multiple times listening to this 9/10 tiernan ^▿^
Unusual to hear punky black metal like this that has such cool and thoughtfully constructed riffs. Bone Awl's great and all but this is a whole different animal... It's actually fun to listen to. grahamy
