Pushmann returns to Rekids' RSPX off shoot with a two-part EP. .VIL and Isaiah remix the fi rst instalment of ‘Sampling & Dancing’. Pushmann follows up his and Fixon’s ‘Tribalism’ EP on Rekids’ RSPX with the fi rst part of his new two-part ‘Sampling & Dancing’ EP, landing this June with remixes from VIL and Isaiah. The hypnotic and futuristic ‘Go Back’ kicks things off with supple drums, a looping low-end, and sleek, soulful synths spiralling overhead. ‘Work Dat’ follows with a raw vocal loop and heavyweight kick, delivering a tightly wound groove that never lets up.
On the remix front, Isaiah, the London-based multidisciplinary artist known for his deeply conscious blend of music, turns in a dubby, rolling take on ‘Go Back’. Trippy aquatic tones, eerie textures, and meditative pads stretch the track into a late-night headspace. Meanwhile, Portuguese producer VIL, a trusted name in cutting-edge techno, fl ips ‘Work Dat’ with prickly acid lines, funk-laced drums, and percussive fl ourishes that inject new energy into the original’s drive.
A master of stripped-back, high-pressure techno, N&N Records founder Pushmann blends industrial grit with fl ashes of Detroit soul. He co-founded the Lila Sessions party and has released on labels like Symbolism, South Signatures and Truncate, regularly winning support from tastemakers like Alienata, ANNẼ, Laurent Garnier, and Mark Broom.
