The collection consists of twelve certificates fastened together under paper covers. The front cover has the embossed title Pictorial Award of Merit. The certificates were published by the Lincoln School Supply Co. (Lincoln, Neb). Each item features a reproduction of a painting on the frontside and information about the artwork on the reverse. The certificates were issued to Bertha Ehrlich from 1926 through 1928 for her "punctual and regular attendance of school." The awards were signed by both her teachers and the County Superintendent of Schools

It contains the circulation record of each student user of the library as well as a catalog of the library's contents. The ledger was printed in 1890 but the handwritten entries are dated from 1904 through 1911

Also included is a watercolor drawing of a juvenile field sparrow thought to be painted by William Bartram and an engraving of ornithologist Alexander Wilson. Additionally, the collection contains a handwritten poem and essay by Mary A. Wood
