STAMPlorations new release - some snark

Welcome peeps! There's a new release in town. Over at the STAMPlorations shop. And with a new line of snarky stamps from our own Chris Dring. Today we're introducing Some Snark (the set on the right).

I've paired Chris' snarky sentiments with some of STAMPlorations paper goods (ATC). The vibe couldn't be more perfect.

watercolors, Copic markers, white embossing powder, pearls

Actually have a friend who loves to "moon" people, so this card's headed her way :)

For my next card I recycled plastic packaging to make a fun shaker. Put an inked BG in it along with several heat embossed snarky sentiments cuz they're just all so good (and lots of sequins). I attached the shaker to a cardbase and adhered a B/W ATC to the front with my main sentiment.

Distress Inks, recycled packaging, sequins, white embossing powder

That's it for today. Be sure to check out all the DT's creations over at the STAMP blog. Leave comments all around and you might be the lucky winner of one of Chris' new stamp sets.

Thanks for stopping by.

STAMPlorations new release - hot mess

Welcome peeps! There's a new release in town. Over at the STAMPlorations shop. And with a new line of snarky stamps from our own Chris Dring. Today we're introducing Hot Mess (the set on the left).

I've paired Chris' snarky sentiments with some of STAMPlorations paper goods (ATC). The vibe couldn't be more perfect.

watercolors, Copic markers, white embossing powder, pearls

Do you not love that sentiment? They're all great. A watercolored swatch, a Copic colored lady to match, a few pearls and a snarky sentiment. Oh, and a bit of die cut interest on the cream cardbase.

How about this next one. "I don't have mood swings. Darling, I own the playground." Just look at her admiring herself in the mirror.

Layout's a bit different - PP mat and a fancy die cut to back the ATC - but the lady and the sentiment say it all.

So, that's it for today. Be sure to check out all the DT's creations over at the STAMP blog. And leave comments all around and you might win one of Chris' new stamp sets.

Hope you're having a nice day.

STAMPlorations giving thanks blog hop

Howdy friends. Welcome to our seventh Giving Thanks Blog Hop celebration!  Hope you have time to check it out because there are plenty of prizes to be won.

Today I have a card made with a stamp set and a design I really like. I love it as a one layer card, but decided to layer it up a little today.

Altenew and Distress Oxide inks, Heidi Swapp gold spray ink, gold embossing powder

Since I was layering, no masking was needed. I just stamped the various leaves in various fall colors around the area my sentiment was going to go. Added some splatters. Then I die cut and heat embossed the sentiment. Inked the die cut with oxide ink to match the orange leaves and gold embossed the edges too.

Hope you'll celebrate thankfulness with us.  Each morning when I wake I tell myself what I'm grateful to be able to do this day! I'm grateful for the opportunity to play with STAMPlorations fun products and hope that I'm able to inspire you to create too.

I mentioned prizes. There are $10 prizes up for grabs just for leaving comments on the stops on the hop. And there are generous prizes to be awarded randomly to three people who make a card and link it up to the linky party. Plus, Shery is always so generous there'll probably be other surprises too. The party ends December 8th. Hope you'll join us!

To see what the other gals have created check out this post. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

STAMPlorations 8th birthday - day 3

Howdy peeps and welcome to day 3 of STAMPlorations' 8th birthday celebration! Have you been enjoying the new products?

Today I have two cards made with some of the new products. I decided to use kraft for my cards.

First up I did some fussy cutting. Plus some stenciling, die cutting, stamping and coloring ;)

Altenew leaf die, white pigment ink, gray dye ink, Zig markers

And then I had the graphic stenciling be the focal point of my B/W card.

I live in German wine country. Need I say more?

A dear friend is having a birthday so this is her card. Don't you love that big circle? I totally love it in black and white.

I added the die cut sentiment and numbers when it was dry and they a few glasses of bubbly up top. Gotta love glitter glue ;)

Hope you've enjoyed our birthday celebration. And I hope you're celebrating with us. Shery's offering generous prizes - to see how you can win and also to see what the other gals have created check out this post.

spring/summer coffee lovers hop

It's that time of year. You know what time. Coffee time.

Today's project is for the Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. STAMPlorations is a super sponsor and in addition to the STAMP prizes being given away on the hop, you could win a prize for leaving a comment over at the STAMP blog today too.

I know the tones of the graphic are kinda muted (more towards the neutrals ruling the world of decor presently) but I had to use some brighter colors for a spring/summer card.

distress inks, vellum, Glossy Accents

Masked off the edges of my cardbase. Inked through the stencil. Added some Perfect Pearls splatters. Fussy cut the stamped coffee cup and mounted it on a circle of printed vellum. Added a sticker sentiment and a shot of shine to the cup with Glossy Accents.

Get hopping! But don't forget to stop by STAMPlorations to leave a comment.

Today - one more make with Shirley's Super Hero. I know it works for comic style designs; I'm envisioning red, yellow and blue a la Superman.

STAMPlorations release - art marks 3

It's been a little while but there's a new release in town. Over at the STAMPlorations shop. Have you seen it?

Today we have a new set from Shery R. She's added another to her Art Marks line. Art Marks 3.

Where does your eye go first when you see that set? Apparently my eye goes to the leaves first...
I did some two-toned inking with my Misti.

And I couldn't help notice how the two stamps at the top of the set worked so well together. Continued with the same color scheme and gold embossing.

Catherine Pooler Spa inks, vellum, gold embossing powder

What else I saw? I saw Kaa. From Jungle Book. Proving that even with art marks you can create a scene ;)

So, that's a wrap. Have you enjoyed this week's posts? Be sure to check out all the DT's creations over at the STAMP blog. And leave comments all around, there are prizes to be won - a $25 prize code and a stamp set from the release.

STAMPlorations release - life is sweeter

Welcome to day two! There's a new release in town over at STAMPlorations . Have you seen it?

Today we have a new set from Dee called Life is Sweeter. More fun solid images which lend themselves to fun techniques.

I had to have some fun with the fruits, my MISTI and multi-layer stamping.

Distress inks, embossing powder

I started with Antique Linen and stamped the image. Added more ink to the stamp, spritzed lightly with water and stamped. Added another color ink to strategic areas, spritzed and stamped. Quite the rewarding process.

At the end I dabbed some Versamark onto the images with a Q-tipand heat embossed with the same gold as the sentiment, adding some glam to each fruit.

And what pairs better with silhouette leaves than an ink-blended sky, right?

Life is Sweeter stamp
Distress inks - Antique Linen, Bundled Sage, Stormy Sky

I masked my cardbase and blended the sky using makeup brushes. Then I stamped with Versafine black ink. I heat embossed the three main images with clear embossing powder to highlight them a bit. Love that it's basically a one layer card.

Tomorrow we have a new set from Shery.  Be sure to check out all the DT's creations over at the STAMP blog. And leave comments all around by March 17, there are prizes for two random winners - 1) a $25 prize code and 2) a stamp set from the release.

STAMPlorations release - super hero

Welcome! It's been a little while but there's a new release in town. Over at the STAMPlorations shop. Have you seen it?

Today we have a new set from Shirley.Meet Super Hero.

It's been kinda stressy in our household lately and I was in the mood for some mindless coloring. I chose the graphic images, heat embossed them and then watercolored. Well I scribbled with watercolor pencils and then shoved the pigment around with a water brush!

watercolor pencils, white embossing powder

So then apparently I did some mindless adhering... I actually intended for the starbursts to be darker at the bottom and get lighter as they went up, and they were, til I mounted the watercolored panel on my cardbase. Now I've got the reverse. And lightning bolts that point up!

On to the next project. I like the solid silhouette of the buildings. I decided to create a Christmas card using it. Gotta love versatility, right?

snowfall stencil, embossing paste, vellum, embossing powder

I stamped some little trees, colored and masked them. Stamped the buildings and added some glow to their windows. Stenciled the snow and added the vellum strip with the sentiment.

So, that's it for today. We'll be back tomorrow with a new set from Dee.  Be sure to check out all the DT's creations over at the STAMP blog. And leave comments all around by March 17, there are prizes for two random winners - 1) a $25 prize code and 2) a stamp set from the release.

If you use my STAMPGIRLMARIA designers' code you'll get an extra 20% off too!

Appreciate your visit. Have a great day.

introducing new ARTplorations stencils from Helen G

The Inspiration DT is up over at STAMPlorations today featuring some of the fantastic new ARTplorations stencils designed by Helen G. Be sure to check it out.

I have three cards for you so let's get started. First up I used Petals to ink up and embossing paste up a panel which I then proceeded to cut apart ;)

Distress inks - Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch
embossing powder

I wasn't really happy with the inked panel after I'd applied the embossing paste. This is dried up Nuvo paste I revived by adding water but it's changed some of its properties I fear and I didn't like how the center of the bloom looked. I thought I'd try cutting the image apart, adhering a few strips with dimensional adhesive and then covering the center with a nice, big die cut word! The inside reads "happy". I'm happy with the result.

Next up I figured I'd give two of the cool graphic stencils a go. I inked up a panel of Neenah CS with Twisted Citron, put down the Brick stencil and applied Cracked Pistachio and then put down the Rubber Bands and applied Mermaid Lagoon. Ta da!

Distress inks - Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon

I die cut the panel into three manila tags and added a whimsical die cut tree to each. Added the sentiment and will use this as a sympathy card.

For my last card today I started with a gelli plate background from my stash. Stenciled the lovely girl, made a mask to stencil some roses onto her hair and then used embossing paste colored with acrylic paint through the Petals stencil to add interest to the corners.

Distress inks - Barn Door, Black Soot
aqua acrylic paint, embossing paste

Be sure check out the DT makes in the hop. Winners will be drawn randomly from all comments left on the STAMPlorations blog and designers blogs. One person will win all 6 new Helen G. Designs stencils, one person will win 3. Stay safe. Stay healthy. #flattenthecurve
