STAMPlorations inspiration #309

Welcome to another Tuesday inspiration post from the STAMPlorations inspiration team girls

I have a theme this month - white on white

Today I've added interest to a big white card front by stenciling some glittery embossing paste through a stencil.
Nuvo Moonstone embossing paste, metallic watercolors

This card kinda happened on a whim. I wanted to use the mermaid scales stencil... thought glitter paste, thought sea... thought whale. Ta daa!

I cut a mask with the tag die to limit the size of the stenciled area and then applied the paste. Stamped and fussy cut the the whale and added a touch of light blue metallic watercolor for even more shimmer.

making valentines - part 2

During the pandemic I've dropped some little gift packs of homemade cards into people's mailboxes - my way of doing something in these weird times and I hope maybe they do something and send them on to people who could use a smile.

I recently had the urge to put together some love cards for my girlfriends since Valentine's Day is approaching. It's not nearly as popular in Germany as in the US, but people know what it is. I'll be sharing some not-your-typical-valentine cards the next couple days.

I don't actually have much in the way of Valentine's Day supplies, though I do have lots of "love" themed items. For my first design I pulled out a heart stencil  and some red and pink distress oxides. That's enough to scream "Valentine", right?

Then I remembered a stamp set with a punny sentiment. Figured it could work for a Valentine too. I masked the edges and a circle in the center, stenciled some waves, stamped the whale and sentiment and added a little red heart. Cute.

Here's a shot of my card packs packaged up (in recycled stamp packaging) and ready to go!

STAMPlorations inspiration #265

It's time for our last April Tuesday inspiration from the STAMPlorations inspiration team!

Here's my last masculine CAS card.

 Wonderful Life stamp
Copics and washi tape

Is it actually masculine? I think with the primary colors and the B/W it could be. I was thinking about my DS when making it and would definitely give it to him. But it could be for a gal too. Guess I can't stick to the masculine theme for too long ;)

STAMPlorations inspiration #257

Hello peeps! And hello March! It's time for another Tuesday inspiration from the STAMPlorations inspiration team!

This month I'm creating cards all inspired by one card I saw last month that just took my breath away. Did you see this beauty by TaeEun?  I knew I'd have to give her design a try and today's card is a total CASE, just using STAMPlortions products.

Distress inks - Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon
Zig clean color real brushes (on Bristol smooth watercolor paper)

What I loved about TaeEun's design was the super light inked BG, the turquoise color on the bloom and the start white frame. Check.

I used an exacto knife to trim away the inside of my rectangle die cut to make a frame. And I added some gold splatters to my BG and gold embossing to my die cut sentiment. I must admit - I love this card!!!! Thanks for the inspiration, girl.

STAMPlorations inspiration #252

Time for another Tuesday inspiration from the STAMPlorations inspiration team!

Hope you're enjoying my creations this month. I'm keeping it real simple. Easy to make. Easy to mass produce especially with a MISTI. Colored cardstock + heat embossing. Here's #4.

My thought process on this simple design... I chose the stamp set because I thought it would make a cute new baby card. I could emphasize the "new addition" with a different color embossing powder. And the waves were a nice little feature to "ground" my swimming whales.

With such a simple design, I try to use colors that carry a lot of suggestive power. And go well together. So thinking "sea" and knowing I would add a little pink whale, I chose a very light aqua  cardstock. And then chose white embossing powder for all the elements except the little whale. She got bright pink so she'd stand out.

I know it's no work of art. No coloring. Nothing realistic about it. But I love one-layer cards, especially when they have a playful nature. The illustrated style of this set lends itself to a design like this. Hope you enjoyed my colored cardstock + embossing series.

STAMPlorations inspiration #245

Welcome back for another Tuesday inspiration from the STAMPlorations inspiration team.

I've got another CAS stamped Christmas card for you today. You may recognize the overall design. This reindeer is a little big for the design, but I went with it anyhoo.

Nearly one layer. CAS. Stamped the deer. Colored the hat stripes with some of the same ink for a bit more color. And added my sentiment in green. I popped the panel onto a PP cardbase so you see the little strip of stars along the bottom.

For other ideas with this stamp set check out this cardAnd this one.

STAMPlorations inspiration #194

Welcome to another Tuesday inspiration from the STAMPlorations inspiration team where the team members feature stamps from one of our talented stamp designers.

Today we're using Becca' Big Grins stamps.  From November 13-19 all of Becca's stamps are 10% off - no coupon needed.

This month, I 'm creating cards inspired by favorite cards I've pinned recently. This was my inspiration for today's card, though I deviated. Meet the card.

Copic markers

Thought I'd use a critter and create a scene like in the inspiration. But this guy is just a bit too big for that, so this baking mishap scene happened instead ;) Masked and stamped and colored with Copics. Love that sentiment!

I've used these two sets here and here too if you'd like more inspiration!

You could win yourself a $10 GC to the store by leaving a comment on the November inspiration posts. Check out today's post here. And I'd love it if to get an extra 20% off your next order, you use my discount code STAMPGIRLMARIA.

STAMPlorations inspiration #158

It's time again  for a Tuesday inspiration from the STAMPlorations inspiration team where the team members feature stamps from one of our talented stamp designers.

Today we're using Becca's Big Grins stamps. Her stamps are 15% off this week  - with an extra 20% off when you use my discount code STAMPGIRLMARIA !!!

Like I mentioned last week, this time each year I like to take a look at the trends they're predicting. In my surfing I discovered "Urban Tribe". So this month I'm creating my inspiration post projects using this image from my Pinterest inspiration board. See that image top right?

I love the big sketched heart in Funny Kinda Love. I stamped it on black CS and using a flower stem stamp I repeatedly stamped lines with Distress Oxides. Gave it a spritz of water, let it dry and then stamped some more lines. I love the chalky/neon result.

Added some stamped hearts and some die cut from the scraps. Some scattered sequins were the finishing touch to this congratulations card.

If you're looking for more inspiration for Valentines Day ... I had more fun with this set in this post ...

You could win yourself a $10 GC to the store by leaving a comment on the January inspiration posts. Check out today's post here. So happy you stopped by :)
