Stuart Burrows

Stuart Burrows is Associate Professor of English at Brown University where he teaches nineteenth and twentieth century American literature. He is the author of A Familiar Strangeness: American Fiction and the Language of Photography, as well as essays in journals such as NOVEL,Nineteenth Century Literature, and American Literary History. He is currently completing two books: The Third Person, a study of temporality in Henry James, and Voice Over, an account of personhood in the modern novel.
