Charles North
Contemporary Poet
Charles North is an American poet, essayist, and teacher associated with the second generation of the New York School. He studied at Tufts and Columbia, studied with Kenneth Koch at The New School, and edited Broadway and Broadway 2 with James Schuyler. Poet-in-Residence at Pace University, his books include the innovative Lineups, Complete Lineups, and What It Is Like. North has received NEA Fellowships, a Foundation for Contemporary Arts grant, multiple Fund for Poetry awards, and a Poets Foundation honor.
