Mixed up kids mixing drinks at church mixers
virginal catholic boys and lesbian sisters
do "The Collapse" and learn of love through rude whispers
oh, woe is me
Dim wifey, tethered, met her husband who wed her
no worse or better for the fit of her sweater, but
Anais Nin's letters led her to studded leather
oh, woe is me
oh, woe is me
Punk rock poser poster-boys playing they're hard
while hairless, barely legal teens smoke and deal cards
the vanguard of the avant-garde or dull retards?
I think I know
I joined this band 'cause I heard I could get some
it was a lie, a decade's past since I last come
I put my anguish in song here's a new one it's called:
"Oh! Woe is Me"
Psychedelic sugary bliss-out orgasmic popular music, etc. From "Hey, Hey Girl" to "Textual Tension", Rocketship, for twenty+ years, has few arrests and no ill feelings.
Why do I love this album? Because despite all the time, love and snowfalls I've put into life since the 90's, it's long since been driven home that Claire will always hate me...probably...maybe. The only thing for certain is that there's no such thing as black orchids in a natural setting...probably...can't make out the words. Aside from dull lyrical certainty best avoided where shoegaze is concerned, there's nothing that will ever spoil this album for me, not even Claire. Especially not Claire. magicianmystar
A new album of perfect low-key gems from Kim Weldin of Tape Waves' unassuming bedroom pop side project Shiny Times. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 15, 2019
This is absolutely beautiful! I am so happy the Under the Bridge releases led me down this road. It's unexpectedly spacious and just makes me happy! It's very hard to pick a favorite and I will not be skipping tracks as I play through this repeatedly. zq9mare1
