I wish

I wish two things in regards to frogs:  I would love to be able to capture one sitting on a lily pad.  I am always too slow getting my camera up.  And second, I would love to capture one when it is croaking.  

I am hearing the tree frogs here at home, but have not spotted one yet.

 I also saw this frog on Tuesday....

Blending in

After I got done power washing the north side of the house, I saw this and wondered what did I miss.  (I had my glasses off.)  I looked closer and saw that it was this tree frog.  It's the first one I have seen this year.

 I only wish I had recorded the sound...this was about two weeks ago.

You don't know how lucky you are to even be seeing this...or maybe unlucky if you don't like it.

I was aiming my camera, hoping to have it in the frame.  Hoping it would be in focus.  I lucked out with a couple of the shots.  Two or three did not have it in it.  At. all!  I don't know how I completely missed it, but I did.

I was shooting in the sun, so could not see my screen.  That is when I miss using my DSLR the most.

Froggy reflection

Notice the eyes in the reflection...kind of comical. I didn't notice till I loaded the picture here. They almost look as if someone drew them in cartoon style.

Peek-a-boo, I see you

I saw several frogs as I drove through the strip pit area yesterday...this is the best capture.
