Sign

We managed a drive yesterday...was going down a rural road and happened to spy this sign.  It made me laugh out loud.  Also, the road was really rough.

From Nashville, Indiana.....

A few scenes from Little Nashville, as Nashville, Indiana is known around here.

You can find about anything down there...

I have tried to have cockscomb (cox's comb?) a couple times before and for some reason it did not do good so I never tried it again.  But isn't this beautiful.

From somewhere in Georgia....

This has been posted before...but before I was blogfriends with a lot of you.  It was taken several years ago...I think in 2010.

We have been over at our daughter's in St. Louis, dogsitting.  Just got in late this evening.  I took everything but the kitchen sink....thinking we were going to have both warm and cold weather.  It turns out, we only had cold, though it was warm today.  We even saw some snow on Saturday morn!  Not for long, and it was already so wet from rain that it did not lay.  Anyway, most things have been put away with at least one load of clothes waiting to be washed.

I will try to get back on schedule and get visiting done over the next day or two.

Sign seen the other day

This sign in someone's yard caught my eye the other day.  It was out in the country, and situated on a strip pit.

This one is in Attica, Indiana...
And this is in Indiana, too...I just happened to think to google to see where it is at.  It is in Michigantown.

Main Street

We passed this in some little town we were traveling through...but I am not sure which one. I thought it was well done.

From the Gap

There is a bicycle museum in Cumberland Gap...and if I remember correctly it was run on donations. We were not in the mood to go in it on this visit, but maybe next time. A couple of guys there told us it was a good one.

Welcome sign....

Sometimes I am one of the happy folk, and some of the times I am the grouch...

A sign for my brother Neal....

We did manage one drive in all the snow we have had...we had passed this sign before but I had never caught enough of it for it to grab my attention. This day the part about the weather station caught my eye...Roger backed up. When I seen it, I knew I would post it for my brother, Neal. I just hope he stops by to see it.

For Mike and Frank....

I think Mike and Frank of American Pickers would love all these signs and gas pumps...the only thing they would not like is that it is not for sale.
Believe it or not, I could find this place again! And I want to go back...Roger saw something I didn't see--their mailbox was in a gas pump. So one of these days I want to go back to see that and get a picture if I can. It is on a well traveled road with no place to pull off...so hoping I can be by there when the traffic is light.
