I went with a coastal grandmother vibe for this one and I am OBSESSED! 💙 I thought this craft idea was so cool! I started with a clear vase, spray painted it white. Let it dry. Next I peeled the top layer off of a napkin and cut it into squares. Then I painted on a layer of modge podge on the vase. Applied the napkin square to the vase then painted a layer of modge podge on top of the napkin. Repeat all the way around and that’s it!! Let it dry and it will dry clear. I am in love with how this turned out!!💙 #homedecor #diyhomedecor #diydecor #diyvase #easydiy #diycrafts #diyideas #easydiydecor #coastalgrandmother #diydecoration #diydecorideas #diy #diydecorations #diyhomeprojects #diyproject | Morgan Winton | Facebook

Decoupage Made Easy. . . . #DIYCrafts #hack #lifehacks #tips #tricks #hacks #diy #howto #usefultips #smarttips #hacklife #lifehackideas... | By Our Upcycled Life | You ever deco podge with the napkin burning technique, all you need is one ply of napkins, some Mod Podge, and then you're going to lay your napkin on top of those words and before it dries, you don't want your Mod Podge to dry. You're going to cut off the extra and then get a lighter. Make sure you have a water bottle handy in case it flares up a little bit and just start lighting it and look how it forms all around those letters. This works unbelievably well and you know how many hours I have spent trying to sand when I'm doing these letters and it was this easy just to do it with a lighter, some wet mod podge, poke a little holes, set it on fire, let the napkin burn away, fantastic.

I'm using a mason jar but pickle jars, any kind of thing like that will work for this project. We're going to decoupage a napkin so you're going to remember to remove the plies. It's really important. It won't work unless you remove them. And then I'm just going to trim it down. And I'm using a wet cut. So basically you take your paint brush and you dip it in water and pull it apart. Now you're going to use your decoupage medium and apply your napkin. You will get some wrinkles with this. But I'm going to show you in a second how you can reduce some of those wrinkles and once you've got that applied, you're going to add some more of your decoupage medium You're going to take some plastic wrap or you can use a plastic bag and smooth out the wrinkles. You do that the entire jar and then just pull that off. This way you won't rip it with your fingers. When I was at the Dollar Tree, I picked up this sheet of faux fur and I'm just going to trim off a square and we're going to attach it to the lid of this jar. Now, you could put an elastic band around this. I couldn't find one so I just use some hot glue and press that on I'm going to trim off the excess faux fur I'm going to use some lace to tie a bow and in a second I'm going to show you how you can use vintage earrings as bling. So once I've got that to the size I want. These are from the thrift store and I just pop off the earring part and we're just going to glue this. It's a great way to use broken earrings. So we're just going to hot glue that on. And you could leave it just like that but I decided to add the other piece as well. This is going to look so cute. Love it. Now sometimes you have to tack those little tails. And I just put a little dab of hot glue. And then that way they'll stay the way they want. Otherwise they stick out too far. There we go. I'm going to hot glue on the tree and I'm using a little bit of the leftover fur to cover up the white part there. I'm going to add this deer How cute is this? Now if you know somebody who would love this kind of craft do let her know. Like and follow for more and let me know. Are you going to make one of these?
