EXERCISE ORDER FOR STRENGTH AND MUSCLE! Everyone should use tempo training at some point during their workouts. All strength/power athletes can benefit from slower TUT's that focus on the eccentric in the off-season as this will develop body control, connective tissue strength and, of course, hypertrophy. Try slowing down the eccentric part of every rep. Focus on controlled rep speed is known as tempo. Making muscles work longer under high tension creates more muscle growth in response.
