ere is my recipe for Pecan Bars. Enjoy From my nurse/friend in Homer. Joyce White - Mar 18, 2003 Pecan Bars ala Donna Fenske Description: Had these once and they were delicious. ... Ingredients: Crust: 2 cups flour 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 cup margarine (or butter) soft Topping: 1 cup (14 oz. sweetened condensed milk 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla pinch salt 1 6 oz. package of toffee chips (If there are none available - like in Homer - and I do not have any on hand, I will buy four heath candy bars and chop them up in a zip lock with my rolling pin) 1 cup chopped pecans Directions: #1 350 F for 15 minutes - crust Flour, powdered sugar, margarine #2 Mix and spread on crust: Sweetened condensed milk, egg, vanilla, salt, toffee chips, pecans. Mix well and spread on crust Bake at 350 F for 20 - 25 minutes. The outer edges will start looking golden and the middle should not be real loose, kind of a golden color all over but not too dark or they will be on the chewy side. If not baked enough they may be a bit moist but still taste OK Number Of Servings:12 servings Preparation Time:1 hour
