Nerdy character design

Y/N L/N, she's a normal girl with a normal life. Her life is mundane and normal until a strange relative of her's sends her a strange book in the mail. Curiosity burns in the girl's soul and encourages her to open the book. Soon she finds herself smack dab in Hell. Wanting to get home she seems help from a rehabilitation hotel run by none other than the Princess of Hell. Can she get back home or will something or someone cause her to stay in Hell?

You know the saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover?” The same rule can be changed into “Don’t judge a person by its ink.” Getting some body art inked is probably one of the best ways for self-expression—be it a drawing in remembrance of your past beliefs, shenanigans or a minimal tattoo filled with deep meanings. No tattoo design is meaningless or ugly because there’s always something bigger behind it. At least to the person who chose the unique tattoo.

This project involved character re-designs for Bossa Studio’s irreverent, high-energy Surgeon Simulator 2, released in September 2021. Atomhawk built on existing art, reimagining and refining the game’s four playable characters to produce a quartet of eccentric, blood-splattered rogue medics.
