I dreamt up this idea to house my ever growing book collection, and we came up with a plan to build this custom shelving for this wall in our home.

-We started by building three separate bookcases with 2x12” pine boards that would fit in this space
-The bookcases sit on a 4” base built out of pine
-We anchored the bookcases to eachother and to the wall with small wood slats at the back of 6 shelves, making sure these were drilled into studs
-We brad nailed 2” moulding to the front of the bookcases to hide the joints
-Colour is Sanctuary by Beauti-Tone paints, which is my most favourite green

We still have to finish the top of the sliding barn door but we ran out of wood 🙃
