Popsicle stick bridge: we used masking tape and popsicle sticks to create a bridge in our kitchen and had fun balancing toys/objects on the bridge 2. Alphabet scavenger hunt: you need post-it notes (or cut up paper with tape) and a large sheet of paper. Write alphabet on large sheet of paper and write each letter on a post it and then hide the post-its around your house. 3. Make homemade play dough or a simple recipe together. Play dough is always fun to make bc you can play with what you make! But making cookies or something yummy together is fun too 💕 4. Play games with cups: Stack the cups up and throw a ball to knock them down, do bowling with the cups as pins, stack them together (how fast can you stack?!), play hide &seek with objects under the cup… lots of possibilities here! 5. Play with water in the sink: this seems almost too simple but I swear it will keep them busy for longer than you’d think 😅. My daughter enjoys playing with just a bowl or two of water, a few toys and a towel at the sink for at least 15-20 minutes. 6. Simple sensory play: Don’t overthink this one. Choose a base (Pom Poms, beans, dry pasta) and then give your child some cups or bowls, a spoon and maybe a few little toys to throw in the bin and let them play! 7. Obstacle course: use pillows, blankets, a rolled up towel for a balance beam, tape on the floor, plates, mixing bowls turned over for stepping stones or even just paper! Building a fort also works well with this. 8. “Snowball” throwing: crumple up junk mail or old papers and then throw them at packing tape stretched across a doorway. Great for kids who love to throw and need an outlet 👍 9. Exercise videos on YouTube: my girls favorites are @pe_bowman and @dannygo_official 10. Color sorting toys: place different color construction paper on floor and have your toddler sort toys by color onto paper.
