Product Details

I’ve always been an avid gardener and have a fascination with bees & how they function in a colony together, not to mention how beneficial they are to our gardens! I dedicated a whole set of insect designs in a previous series called Entomology Collection, including a honey bee, which you may recognize, however I’ve always had an idea in mind to expand my cute little bee into a whole hive in blanket form – which is how this design came to be! (or should I say, came to BEE?!) This project uses the overlay mosaic technique and the pattern is written in US crochet terms. The pattern includes full written row-by-row instructions and a printer-friendly chart, a full page chart to zoom in on your phone & devices, and a close up of the Bee hexagon chart. The charts have all the X’s marked, and there are full instructions on all the techniques used in this project, along with links to generic video tutorials on the techniques used as well. Finished size: 47” x 58” (using med weight #4 yarn & 5mm hook) Yarn used for sample image: Black = 1838 yards Cream = 783 yards Buff = 500 yards Tan = 442 yards Yellow = 13 yards You can use any yarn you wish, as long as all your colors are the same thickness (weight) and use the hook recommended for your yarn choices. You can also do this project in just 2 colors rather than the colors shown. A speckled gold would look great for the background, or even a self-striping rainbow color yarn for a baby’s room! BUNDLE PROMOS : Buy 4 patterns, get one of those free! Promo will be applied automatically in the cart when any 4 patterns are added. Discount covers cost of one square ($4), but when purchasing 4 blankets (anything over $10) use code 4BLANKETS to get one blanket free. Only one discount per purchase.
