One thing that I didn’t even think to put on my registry is baby medicine. We made a few trips to the store for it within a few weeks of Greyson being born. Mommy’s Bliss brand is my favorite and the newborn essential kit has everything you could need for baby in the first few months. If you don’t own a humidifer and are going to have a baby, it’s a must. Babies tend to have congestion from amniotic fluid and such after they’re born. Sleeping with the Frida Baby Humidifier will help them break…

Baby mirrors are horrible because you can’t see your baby unless you take your eyes completely off the road to focus on them in the rearview mirror. Even then you can’t see them when it’s dark out. This baby camera that we got from amazon is probably the best find ever. It’s only $40, sticks to your windshield or your dash, & has nightvision. It’s so nuc to be able and look at the screen for like 1 sec to see if my baby is sleeping or not. Highly recommend!! For car windows, having a shade…
feeding
If I were to try breastfeeding again, I would 100% invest in the Willow or Elvie. It would allow me to do all the things I meed to do throughout my day without having to be stuck plugged in somewhere. When it came to bottles, I wanted something that mimicked the breast. My mom had used Avent bottles when I was a baby, and I loved the reviews and science behind them. It was an easy choice that I still don’t regret today. Greyson has loved them since day one. The thing that most new moms don’t…
preparing for baby
When you’re expecting a baby or have a new little one, you try your best to be as prepared as possible. There are so many different baby items out there nowadays that it can feel overwhelming trying to figure out exactly what you need or don’t need. After hours of research, reading reviews, and trial & error, I have compiled a list for you guys. These are all things that I either have or wish I would have gotten. I’m hoping this will help some mama out there looking for guidance/recommendations!
strollers & car seats
We chose Uppababy for our infant car seat and stroller & LOVE IT! My little babe was born in spring so we didn’t need the footmuff for the carseat, but I would have gotten the matching Uppababy one if he had been. We did end up getting the footmuff for the stroller since we put him in it so often. It kept him so much warmer than a blanket did! Instead of getting the matching bassinet, we went with the cheaper alternative: the infant snugseat- which allows your baby to lay in the stroller when…

This diaper bag is my favvvvee😍. I made the mistake of getting a diaper bag that just went over my shoulder and it sucked. ALWAYS ALWAYS get one that is a backpack style. You will thank me & yoursel! The goldbug shopping cart cover/highchair cover is so cute & functional. I love the fact that it’s a 2-in-1. If you are formula feeding the Skip Hop formula holder works great and stores formula for 3 bottles. I always just kept it filled before we left the house. The Baby’s Brew is freaking…
baby gear
When it comes to gear, there were a lot of things that I wish I would have purchased instead of what I did. The biggest thing I wish I would have done was get an electronic bassinet. We got a fancy pack n play to use as a bassinet in our bedroom and it just didn’t work as well as I’d hoped. It was bulky, hard to move around, and didn’t have any sort of soothing mechanism like all our other things we put him in during the day. There were so many times in the middle of the night that he was…
clothing
Baby’s go through so many outfits & if you’re anything like me, you hate doing laundry. We stocked up on the essentials so we only had to wash baby clothes once a week, sometimes twice. Sleepers/sleep n plays that are zippered (double zipper preferable), not buttoned are the way to go. No one wants to be figuring out what button snaps to which attachment in the middle of the night when baby is crying and you’ve had no sleep. Just save yourself the stress ahead of time. May favorites were any…

When you have a baby there is literally no such thing as too many burp cloths/bibs. My favorite burp cloths are the Gerber or Cloud Island ones. They are just the right size and material to soak everything up. Green Sprouts has these ‘milk catcher’ bibs that are the greatest. So many bibs are usless because they miss half of the milk that actually goes down baby’s neck, but these bad boys do not! The Copper Pearl bandana bibs work better when baby is at least 3/4 months old. They are a bit big…
bath
Wanna know a secret? Babies outgrow baby bath towels when they’re like 6 months old HAHAHAH. Like why?!? We loved the Cloud Island baby ones while they were long enough. I went and picked up some cute kids towels from Target that we use now and love! They even have a little loop attached to them so you can hang them up. I preferred the thin washcloths over the thicker washcloths because they stay soapy better imo. The Just Born brand were the ones we went with. We tried 3 different bathtubs…

You can never go wrong with the traditional changing pad. Throw a cute cover on it and voila. I think I would have liked to splurge on the Hatch Baby Grow Smart Changing Pad/Scale when I was getting everything for Greyson. There were so many times that I wanted to know how much he weighed to make sure he was on track and trying to do it on a normal scale with all the subtracting was just too much haha. Being able to just wipe it off and not worry about a cover is also a plus. For the first few…

Having a newborn can be really stressful because you’re constantly making sure they’re breathing and okay. One little noise and your heart starts racing. The Owlet sock truly helped me sleep so much better. I was able to see Greyson’s O2 levels and HR, knowing that he was doing okay. If something was not normal then you will get alerted with a sound. For a monitor, we ended up getting a Google Nest cam and used an old IPhone. Don’t make that mistake, because you will realize that the phone…
toys & learning
TOYS TOYS TOYS!! Do they need them when they’re super young? Yes. Do they need a whole bunch? No. Toys are great teaching tool for babies. They help improve muscle and eye coordination among many other things. The black and white book is something newborns love because of the contrast in color. It’s perfect to sit out during tummy time. Baby’s love to hold on to things & it’s a bonus if it makes sound. Some of my favorites: Mombella mushroom, Skip Hop corn maracas, Bright Stars rattle, & …
nursery & decor
Whether you’re trying to save space in the closet or you want a fancier, the felt baby hangers from Amazon are perfect & come in so many colors. I found some matching velevet clips at BuyBuyBaby to hang pants on. The Yogasleep Dohm has two settings (high or low), and then you can twist it to make it more muted if you’d like. It really helps to have one of these so that baby stays asleep even if there are loud noises around the house. We LOVE the crib mattress we bought. It has one side that is b

So I fell in love with the whole acrylic theme when I was pregnant. I became obssessed with the sloane crib from Pottery Barn Baby, but it just wasn’t in our budget. I did a lot of searching and found one super similar, but more affordable. It was from Wayfair, and they had the matching dresser w/ table top changer too. The drawers are soft close and have velvet inside in the top two. Super fancy for a fraction of the cost! The rocking chair I got from my registry turned out not to be the best…
