Or maybe you’ve baked cupcakes, and somehow, the second batch comes out fluffier and prettier than the first? That’s why I always let my cake batter and cupcake batter rest at room temperature for 20 minutes before baking. Because here’s why 👇 Letting the batter rest gives the flour time to fully hydrate and the air bubbles to settle. The result? A fluffier, more even bake—and honestly, just a better cake. This trick is especially helpful for: Vanilla or white cakes (helps prevent tunneling) Cupcakes that dome too much Baking in both humid and dry climates So if you’ve never tried th

@cakestone20 on Instagram: "Another easy way to two-tone your buttercream 💕 If lining the piping bag directly isn’t for you, you may find this ‘cling film method’ much easier. Always remember to chill your buttercream for a few minutes before doing this, so the colours come through clearly and don’t mix together. We use American buttercream which is firmer than most other types and this makes the process easier. If you are using a meringue based buttercream, you can still use this method and get good results however the two-toning may not be as defined 😊 #reels #reelsofinsta #reelitfeelit #bakingreels #pinkcupcakes #reellife #cupcakereels #trendingreels #oddlysatisfying #cupcakedecorating #floralcupcakes #buttercreamflowers #buttercreamcake #cakedecorating #cakedecoratingreel #ca
Sheri Wilson on Instagram: "Chocolate Spoon Flowers 🌸🧁 I used store bought cupcakes and added DIY chocolate petals to make flowers! So easy for a last minute treat! You’ll Need -frosted cupcakes -candy melts or white chocolate, melted -plastic spoons -nonpareil sprinkles 1. Place your melted chocolate into a tall glass for dipping. Dunk the end of a plastic spoon into the chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off. 2. Continue dipping until you have 6-7 coated spoons per cupcake. Place into the fridge to harden. 3. Gentle press on the spoon the release the chocolate, then assemble on top of each cupcake to form flowers. Add sprinkles to the center of each flower. #springtreats #easybaking #easter #nobake #bakingideas #eastertreats #dessertideas"
